Orboot Earth Core

Orboot Core is an interactive AR globe designed to spark curiosity by taking kids on a tactile journey from the Earth's surface to its glowing core. With a 3D tactile terrain, glow-in-the-dark core, and an easy-open mechanism, children can twist and explore Earth's crust, mantle, and core through engaging, scan-enabled layers. Perfectly crafted for young hands, it blends physical exploration with digital discovery to make Earth science fun and memorable.

For Orboot Core, the physical design was driven by insights from observing how young children handle and engage with globes. We designed it to be lightweight, stable, and the right size for small hands to rotate easily. The minimal, screen-free surface encouraged focus on physical interaction, reinforcing the tactile connection before layering in the AR experience.
